Customers are the most important visitors on our premises. They are not dependant on us, we are dependant on them. They are not an interruption of our work, they are the purpose of it. They are not outsiders to our business, they are part of it. We are not doing them a favour by serving them, they are doing us a favour by giving us an opportunity to do so.
Billing Process Procedures
The AUWSA have acquired an efficient Billing Software from OIKOS Interprises Ltd from Zambia which runs in SQL Server. The billing Software is called Perffectbill System which is comprised of modules namely.
* Meter Readings
* Billing Processes
* Database Management
* Debt Management
* Front Office
* Management Reports
Meter readings are taken from 5 th up to the end of the month
Meter readings are entered in the Computer system-Perfect bill system by the Data entry Clerk.
Corrections are done in the meter readings for high consumptions to check the validity, un read Water meters either because of gate closed, missing meter etc using Meter readers in cooperation with the Data Entry Clerck.
After all the corrections in the Meter readings, bills are processed by our Billing Software-Perfect bill System and printed. All the monthly bills are processed within an hour by the system. Then printing of the Customer bills starts and it take not more than two days because of high Customer base.
When printing of bills is done, bills are sorted and folded and sent to the Postal office at the first week of the Month, but Big Customer Bills are delivered to the Customer premises by the AUWSA Credit Controls or Meter readers.
For Customers who do not receive their bills through postal offices come to collect the Customer statements of their bills at the AUWSA Office-Front Office and pays their bills.
