Internal Audit Unit
Internal Audit Unit is responsible in ensuring that all systems controls, regulations and procedures are adequate and effective. The Unit is headed by the Chief Internal Auditor.

Activities of the Internal Audit Unit are as follows:
- To provide an independent and objective assurance to the Accounting Officer on the operations of the AUWSA.
- To perform the Internal Audit work as a key component of the AUWSA structure and in line with the Government Internal Audit Standards and practices.
- To formulate and coordinate a comprehensive audit program including financial and compliance with pre audit; and provide financial consultancy services to management and staff.
- Develop and implement the AUWSA's Strategic Internal Audit annual plan.
- Responsible for the identification and evaluation of organizational risk areas and oversee the development of the strategies to manage those risks

Public Relation Unit (PRU)
The Public Relations Unit is responsible for maintaining public relations between the AUWSA and the public, municipalities, agencies, and the media, i.e. those who produce and disseminate information to the public. It provides services to the AUWSA bodies and provides them with information about the developments in and activities of the AUWSA.

Information and Communication Technology Unit (ICT)
The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Unit is one of the essential business unit within the Office of the AUWSA. The Unit promotes business-led technological adoption, which enhance effective utilization, cost-effectiveness, and direct value adding to the vision, mission and objectives of AUWSA.

The ICT Unit is responsible for the following core functions:
- Develop plans, standards and guidelines for effective use and management of ICT services, equipments and digital assets;
- Identify, evaluate and recommend potential systems and technologies that strengthen the AUWSA's capacity to enhance its internal business processes, information management, accessibility and reach to business partners and beneficiaries;
- Implement, configure, maintain and manage ICT infrastructural systems (including Servers, Networks and end-users computing systems)
- Provide continuous systems monitoring, administration and management (including for communication and collaboration systems, ERP Systems, and other office productivity systems);
- Provide day-to-day ICT support and troubleshooting services for workstations management, office computing, connectivity and productivity systems;
- Provide website development and technical support services

Procurement Management Unit (PMU)
To provide expertise and services in procurement, storage and supply of goods and services for AUWSA.

The activities of the Unit are:-
- Advise the Management on matters pertaining to the procurement of goods and services and logistics management in AUWSA;
- Manage all procurement and disposal by tender activities of the procuring entity except adjudication and the award of contract;
- Support the functioning of the Tender Board;
- Implement the decisions of the Tender Board;
- Act as a secretariat to the Tender Board;
- Plan the procurement and disposal by tender all activities of the procuring entity;
- Recommend procurement and disposal by tender procedures;
- Check and prepare statements of requirements;
- Prepare tendering documents;
- Prepare advertisements of tender opportunities;
- Prepare contract documents;
- Issue approved contract documents;
- Maintain and archive procurement documents;
- Maintain a list or register of all contracts awarded;
- Prepare monthly reports for the Tender Board;
- Co-ordinate the procurement and disposal activities of all the departments of the procuring entity; and
- Prepare other reports as may be required from time to time.
